Safety
We work hard to ensure our children have the skills to be safe both in and out of school. Safety education is embedded throughout our curriculum and children of all ages are taught about how to keep themselves and their bodies safe.
We link into activities for SCARF to enhance our PHSE/RSE curriculums.
Children in Yr6, are provided with an opportunity to undertake the Bikeability scheme to learn how to ride their bike on the road safely.
Internet Safety
We promote a culture of safe internet use as part of our everyday practice. In addition, all children receive a formal education on internet safety every term as part of their computing curriculum; all children understand who to talk to if they see anything that makes them feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
Safeguarding
We ensure that all our children are safe and happy. Children understand who they can tell if any situation makes them feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Our DSLs ensure that staff understand how to report incidents and the procedures they must follow. At Evercreech, our DSLs are:
Mrs Sarah Hann (Lead DLS, Head)
Mrs Jacqueline Jefferies (Deputy DSL, Assistant Head)
Mrs Jennifer Chilcott (Deputy DSL)
Mrs Elspeth Dallard (Deputy DSL)
In addition, we hold NSPCC workshops to educate the children on staying safe such as 'NSPCC Pants workshop'.
